@ Soul Woods we try to be on the lookout for those “one of a kind” pieces, while focusing on being good stewards and adhering to sustainable practices. We focus on working primarily with hardwoods, both domestic and exotic,. but can accommodate most requests. Stock changes on a regular basis and accommodated by request / project. I’ll Try to keep this updated as frequently as possible.
Core
Walnut
Black, Curly, Bastone, Claro, and other variants; we love it and use it! Probably our most used and loved. We keep a good selection on hand including bigger stock like slabs, and 8/4 (2″) thick stock in addition to more usual dimensions including crotch cutoffs, etc.
Maple
All the Maples, including but not limited to Curly, Quilted, Rock, White, Spalted, Birds Eye, Ambrosia…you name it, we got it, had it, or can get it! Next to Walnut, probably our most used species of wood. Currently a good amount of curly ambrosia on hand.
Exotics
Along with our domestic favorites, we do try to keep a healthy and interesting selection of exotic options on hand. On hand stock will often include Rosewoods, Olivewoods, Wenge, Jakarta, Bubinga, Bacote, Canary Wood amongst others.
